On 25 July 2016, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Fumio Kishida, the Secretary of State of the United States, John Kerry, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia, Julie Bishop, met in Vientiane, Laos for the sixth ministerial meeting of the Trilateral Strategic Dialogue (TSD).
